Social Media Content Creator/Editor

Location: Various hiking trails (based on monthly schedule)

Commitment: One hike per month (typically Saturday)

Duration: Ongoing

We are looking for a creative and passionate Social Media Content Creator & Editor to help grow our online presence. You will be responsible for creating engaging content, capturing and editing photos/videos from hykes  to inspire and connect with our community.

​

Responsibilities include:​

  • Monitor popular trends and sounds on (IG & Tik Tok) and develop creative content ideas for monthly hykes  

  • Produce creative content on our monthly hykes  (interviews, skits, event recaps etc) on iPhone or DSLR

  • Edits of  up to 4x pieces of  high quality creative content per month (reels, photos, slide show edits etc)

Experience required: 

  • Experience in content creation, photography, videography and video editing 

  • Experience using editing tools such as Capcut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro/Rush, or Splice

  • Strong storytelling skills with a comedic tone

  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram &, TikTok)

  • Previous examples of work required

Photographer

We are a community-driven hiking group that explores scenic trails each month, promoting wellness, connection, and outdoor adventure. We’re looking for a passionate volunteer photographer to capture the beauty of our hikes, the camaraderie of our members, and the essence of the experience.

Responsibilities include:​

  • Attend one scheduled hike per month to document the experience. 

  • Capture high-quality images of the landscape, group interactions, and key moments.

  • Edit and provide a selection of photos after each hike for social media and promotional use.

  • Work collaboratively with the event organizers to highlight the group’s essence and energy.

  • Ensure participants feel comfortable and respected while being photographed.

 

Experience required: 

  • Experience in photography and basic editing skills

  • A passion for photography and the outdoors

  • Owns a camera or high-quality smartphone for photography.

  • Reliable, friendly, and able to work in an outdoor environment.

  • Ability to take candid and scenic shots that tell a story.

  • Previous examples of work required

Website Designer/Developer

Location: Remote (with occasional check-ins)

Commitment: Flexible, project-based (a few hours per month)

Duration: Until website completion, with potential for ongoing updates

We are a community-based hiking group that meets monthly to explore nature, promote wellness, and connect with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts. To enhance our organization and outreach, we’re looking for a volunteer website designer and developer to create a simple, engaging, and user-friendly website.

​

Responsibilities include:​

  • Design and develop a visually appealing and easy-to-navigate website.

Implement key features such as:

  • Event calendar with upcoming hikes.

  • Ticketing system optimised for purchases and ticket transfers

  • Waiver and medical form submission page.

  • Photo gallery for past hikes.

  • Blog or news section for updates.

  • Ensure the website is mobile-responsive and optimized for performance.

  • Provide occasional updates and maintenance as needed.

 

Experience required: 

  • Experience in web design (UI/UX) and front-end development.

  • Proficiency in platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or custom coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Basic knowledge of backend development (optional but a plus).

  • Passion for the outdoors and community-driven projects.

  • Previous examples of work required
